I restored "music_bar_br01" and "music_bar_li01" as they had lower quality than the other files. With the extra information above 10 kHz of cours ! Their spectrum are so close, and perhaps the same, to the game OST that the quality is the same. The Danger looped by Artofeel contained the third part that wasn't there in the game release. In fact in the Suite there is 4 parts : Space, Danger, Ambiant sounds and Battle. I noticed that Kusari Danger was also too long. I plotted the spectrum of the two files to do so and it allowed me to equalize the CD OST to match the ingame files. I took the game OSTs, I resampled them to 44100 Hz and tried to match the the sound volume of the CD ones. This choice has been made to have a more accurate representation of what we had when playing the game with the missing information brought back by the audio CD. So I decided to restore the CD OST to the game OST by using some equalizations.
I was looking into the audio spectrum and it gaves me the proof that I was right. I present you the remasterization of FL OST because there was some differences in term of audio quality between the game and the CD OST. It's a remaster to match ingame music audio quality. Original Soundtrack by Visual Music, James Hannigan and Andrew Segaīr01 and Li01 bar musics restored by I will be keeping an eye on what you recommend in the future as this is just top notch.-Read_Me.txt. There's also some sort of automatic EQ system available but I haven't got that thing to work satisfactorily yet. What an amazing piece of kit, thank you for this recommendation! I've also attached a quick audio example of the compressor in action.Īt this moment I can for certainty say that Stereo Tool excels at dynamics processing (both single and multiband operation), stereo field manipulation and final output limiting/clipping. If you want to disable the limiter you need to use the "expert" mode (which you can set in the main configuration menu). It's only there to take care of unruly stray peaks. I've included two different versions that have slight alterations. I've saved it as a Single Band preset which means you can use the LOAD menu to either load 'All audio settings' or only the 'Singleband settings' when in the single band compressor view. I've attached the preset for you to download. You'll need to tweak the 'Density' slider (basically a "drive" control, pushing into the compressor) and the 'Aggression' control which manipulates the attack/release stages. You only need to tweak two basic sliders. A few minutes ago I think I stumbled upon quite magical settings. I just tweak the parameters (in expert mode) and try to slowly build up an understanding. I have absolutely no idea at all what I'm doing or how this thing works.
I'm absolutely baffled by how good it can sound, especially as a mixbus compressor! Today I've mainly been exploring the Single Band compressor as a solid candidate for bus compression duties. There's also some sort of automatic EQ system available but I haven't got that thing to work satisfactorily yet. Perhaps even post some sound examples.Īt this moment I can for certainty say that Stereo Tool excels at dynamics processing (both single and multiband operation), stereo field manipulation and final output limiting/clipping. I hope we can share presets and ideas in this thread. It also features some declipping and restoration tools. It has an amazing collection of stereo manipulation tools, dynamics processing and saturation/clipping.
Lately I've been spending more time with this thing and explored it's potential as a general purpose audio processing tool. I think it's high time we made a separate topic for this absolutely amazing tool.

I'm just an enthusiastic user of this piece of magical code since many years back. Nor am I in any way affiliated with the author.
#Thimeo stereo tools software
Also available as a standalone software suite for broadcast, which it was originally created for. Unfortunately it's available for in VST2 and experimental VST3 (windows only?) versions. The basic version (which is more than enough for anybody!) costs 35 euros.
